Common Octopus - Octopus vulgaris Cephalopod mollusc belonging to the Octopod order. Easily recognized by it's large, globular head which is distinct from the rest of the body, formed by eight tentacles with double rows of suckers. Coloring is variable due to its mimetic abilities. Found on rocky or detrital beds with crevices, from a few meters to over 100. Maximum size 60 centimeters.

Large hermit crab with notched asymmetrical pincers covered with light hair. Red, sometimes brighter than others. Found on rocky or detrital bottoms from 15-20 meters to 50 meters. Maximum size 6 centimeters.

- Nudibranch - Flabellina affinis - Out for a strawl✽
Nudibranch gastropod mollusc with slim, elongated body, marked by numerous elongated lateral papillae grouped in tufts. Varying shades of pink. Found on rocky beds from 5 to 50 meters and is usually found in the company of the hydroids on which it feeds. Maximum 4 centimeters.

- Salema - Sarpa salpa - close encounter✽
Elongated, compressed body. Small head and rounded nose. Thick-lipped mouth. Blue grey with 10 to 11 longitudinal golden stripes. Lives close to rocky and sandy bottom with plenty of vegetation from 2 to 20 meters. Maximum size 50 cm.

Elongated body, slightly compressed. Short nose and big eye. Silvery grey with bluish reflections on the back. Characteristic big, white-edged, black, saddle-shaped mark on the caudal peduncle. Lives on rocky bottoms and close to Neptune grass, from 3-5 meters to 40 meters. Maximum size 30 centimeters.

- Peacock worm - Sabella pavonina - Coming close✽
Sedentary worm with mucous tube encrusted with mud. Branchial crown is composed of two semicircular lobes joined at the base by a membrane. Branchial tuft can be reddish or whitish with dark stripes. Found on sandy or muddy and detritus substrates from 10 to 20-30 meters. Maximum size 25 centimeters.

Grouper - Epinephelus guaza, large, ocal body with a well developed head and large mouth. Wide, rounded caudal fin. Brownish with blotches of varying degrees and darkness. Lives on rocky bottoms with plenty of crevices from 3 to 100 meters. Measures up to 1 meter.
