Ornate wrasse - Thalassoma pavo - Me and my fire worm

Elongated,compressed body with oval, pointed, head. Small mouth with big lips. Caudal fin has elongated lobes. Female fish are greenish-brown with a dark lateral band. Males have a red head with bluish stripes and a vertical red band behind the operculum. Lives on rocky bottoms and close to Neptune grass from 2 - 3 meters down to 150 in the most southern regions of the Mediterranean. Maximum size 25 centimeters.
