Mellieha - L-Għar u Casa - Seen from below
Mellieħa has a rich history of cave habitation dating back to Neolithic times. These caves were used as dwellings up until the 19th century when the British colonial administration encouraged residents to relocate to more conventional housing. The L-Għar u Casa complex, situated along Triq il-Wied, features a series of interconnected caves and rock-cut rooms carved into the cliff face overlooking Mellieħa Bay. Notable features include a stone staircase, a rock-cut façade, and a large window offering panoramic views of the bay
