Clownfish – Amphiprioninae
Clownfish, also known as anemonefish, belong to the subfamily Amphiprioninae in the family Pomacentridae. There are around 30 recognized species: one in the genus Premnas and the rest in Amphiprion. In the wild, they live in symbiotic relationships with sea anemones, gaining protection while providing benefits to their hosts. Depending on species, clownfish may be yellow, orange, reddish, or blackish, often marked with white bars or patches. They range in size from just 7–8 cm up to 15–16 cm, making them colorful and lively subjects for underwater photography.
