Tug 2 Wreck, Malta
Built in 1975 at Malta Drydocks for the Chinese government, the tugboat Tuo Lun Er Hao (later known as Tug 2) measured 30 meters in length with a beam of 7.5 meters. Together with her sister vessel Tuo Lun Yi Hao (Tug 1), she worked on the construction of Dock No. 6 in Grand Harbour, part of the China Dock project.
Originally carrying her Chinese name on the bow, she soon became known locally simply as Tug 2. After years of service, the vessel was decommissioned, purchased by Bezzina Marine Services Ltd. in 2000, and docked for over a decade. On 20 June 2013, after being cleaned and prepared for divers, Tug 2 was scuttled off Malta to create an artificial reef. Her sister Tug 1, renamed Anni, was present during the scuttling.
