Mellieha Bay Hotel
The Mellieha Bay hotel closed its doors by the end of 2019
after 50 years of service. As of August 2023 several plans of redevelopment have
been filed. In May 2023 the Planning Authorities gave green light to start
demolition of the old hotel complex. However, in August it was still laying
abandoned with many holes in the surrounding fence and some parts allowing
beach access torn down.
