Popeye Village – Film Set & Iconic Landmark
Popeye Village, also known as Sweethaven Village, is a cluster of colorful wooden buildings set along Anchor Bay in northwestern Malta, near Mellieħa. Originally constructed in 1979 as the film set for Paramount and Disney’s 1980 musical Popeye starring Robin Williams, it has since become one of the island’s most recognizable landmarks. Today, the site lives on as an open-air museum and family entertainment attraction, while its rustic charm and seaside backdrop make it a striking subject for photography.
