White Rocks

White Rocks – From Military Housing to Abandoned Complex

Built in 1960 by the British forces, White Rocks was originally known as St. Patrick’s Officers Married Quarters. The site offered high-quality accommodation in a mix of four-bedroom houses and three-bedroom flats, each equipped with a garage and telephone. After the departure of military personnel, the complex was gradually converted into a holiday village, later used by the Secretariat for Tourism to host language students during the summer months until 1995. Today, White Rocks lies abandoned, with crumbling buildings and blocked access roads, its decaying structures providing a striking subject for photography.
