Cardinal fish - Apogon imberbis - Guarding the cavern
Oval-bodied fish with short head and big eye. Prominent jaw. First dorsal fin is less developed than the second one. Red or pinky body, with white stripes crossing the eyes. Male fish incubates the eggs in its mouth. Found on rocky bottoms with plenty of crevices, from 2-3 meters down to 200. Maximum size 15 centimeters.
