Sea hare - Aplysia depilans - Coming in the light

Large opistobranchiate gastropod mollusc with stout parapodia for swimming. Its thin shell is completely covered by its mantle. Brownish. If touched it defends itself by secreting a pinky-colored liquid. Found on rocky, algae-rich beds from the surface down to 15-20 meters. Maximum size 25 centimeters.
