The entrance to a second cave below the Mellieħa Cross, partly hidden among limestone rock and wild vegetation.
This image shows the entrance to a second cave below the Mellieħa Cross, reached by following the small path along the rocky hillside. The dark doorway, rough limestone face, surrounding vegetation and signs of cut stone suggest a modified rock-cut space that may have been used in the past, although no formal archaeological record confirms cave dwelling at this exact location.
