The slender bell tower of Kloster Mariastern-Gwiggen rises above the trees in the peaceful grounds of the Cistercian abbey.
This photograph shows the bell tower of the abbey church at Kloster Mariastern-Gwiggen in Hohenweiler, Vorarlberg, Austria, partly hidden behind mature green trees. The pointed tower, topped by a cross and golden finial, rises above the church roof, while part of the gabled façade, clock and rose window remain visible through the foliage. The summer greenery creates a peaceful view of this historic Cistercian abbey church, built between 1895 and 1896.
