St. Mary’s Castle Church, also known as Schlosskirche St. Marien, is the Baroque church beside Mainau Castle on Mainau Island in Lake Constance, Germany. Built between 1732 and 1739 by Johann Caspar Bagnato, the church is known for its richly decorated altar, sculptures, stucco work and paintings dedicated to the life of Mary. This interior view shows the elegant Baroque sanctuary, with marble-like surfaces, religious artwork, gilded details and flowers adding colour to the historic chapel.
