Small Red Scorpionfish - Scorpaena notata
The head of this scorpionfish is virtually free of all cutaneous appendices. Recognised by its brighter red colouring and a black mark in the middle of the dorsal fin. Lives on poorly illuminated rocky bottoms, from 5 to 700 metres deep. Maximum size 18 centimetres.
