Golden Bay in Malta during a period of heavy rainfall and stormy weather.

Heavy rain showers sweep across Golden Bay on the north-west coast of Malta. Dark clouds and intense rainfall transform the normally sunny beach landscape into a dramatic weather scene. Such sudden downpours are typical during winter storms in the Mediterranean, briefly flooding roads and low areas near the coastline.
