The Erechtheion and the Propylaea stand proudly on the Acropolis, overlooking the city of Athens.

This photograph captures two iconic structures on the Acropolis of Athens: the Erechtheion and part of the Propylaea. The Erechtheion, visible on the right, is an ancient Greek temple known for its elegant Ionic columns and its role in housing sacred religious sites. To the left, the massive columns of the Propylaea form the monumental gateway that once marked the entrance to the Acropolis. Built during the 5th century BC, these structures reflect the architectural brilliance and cultural importance of classical Athens. The elevated position offers a breathtaking view over the modern city, highlighting the enduring legacy of ancient Greek civilization.
