The Mellieħa Feast is one of the highlights of the village calendar, bringing together religious tradition, community celebrations and the spectacular fireworks for which Maltese festas are famous. During the 2026 celebrations, the night sky above Mellieħa once again came alive with brilliant colours, intricate patterns and powerful displays of light.
Fireworks have long been an important part of Malta’s traditional village feasts, combining craftsmanship, competition and generations of local knowledge. Against the distinctive landscape of Mellieħa, each display creates its own fleeting compositions of colour and light, transforming the familiar surroundings into a dramatic backdrop for the celebrations.
This album presents our photographs from the Mellieħa Fireworks 2026, capturing some of the most memorable moments as bursts of colour illuminated the night sky. From individual explosions and delicate trails of light to larger displays filling the sky above the village, these images preserve a small part of the atmosphere and spectacle of this year’s festivities.
