A Common Myna landing on overhead power lines in Thailand.
A Common Myna (Acridotheres tristis) prepares to land on overhead power lines in Thailand. This adaptable bird species is easily recognised by its brown plumage, black head, bright yellow eye patch, and yellow legs. The Common Myna is highly intelligent and often lives close to humans, commonly seen perching on buildings, trees, and power lines in cities and rural areas. Native to South Asia, it has successfully expanded its range across many tropical and subtropical regions of the world.
