A Common Myna running quickly across the ground in Thailand.
A Common Myna (Acridotheres tristis) running across the ground while searching for food in Thailand. Unlike many birds that hop, the Common Myna often walks or runs quickly across open ground while foraging. This intelligent and highly adaptable bird feeds on insects, fruit, seeds, and food scraps, allowing it to thrive in both natural and urban environments. Native to South Asia, the species has become one of the most successful urban birds in many tropical regions.
