Peacock Wrasse - Symphodus (Crenilabrus) tinca - Hiding

Oval-bodied, slightly compressed fish. Elongated, flattened snout. Young and female fish are greenish- or brownish-grey with white lips. Males are greenish, bluish or yellowish-green with rows of small red marks on the side and a blue upper part of the head. Lives on rocky bottoms and close to posidonia from 2-3 meters to 80 meters .
