Hohenschwangau Castle is a 19th-century palace in southern Germany, located in the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwestern Bavaria. It was rebuilt by King Maximilian II of Bavaria and became the childhood residence of his son, King Ludwig II, who later commissioned the nearby Neuschwanstein Castle.
