Rock-cut stairs leading through vegetation toward another cave area below the Mellieħa Cross.

These stone-carved stairs below the Mellieħa Cross lead through the limestone hillside toward another group of cave openings. Although no formal archaeological record confirms cave dwelling at this exact site, the steps, modified rock surfaces and nearby cave structures suggest past human use, possibly connected with shelter, storage or animal keeping.
