The Wieskirche near Steingaden, a Bavarian Rococo masterpiece set in the peaceful foothills of the Alps.

The Pilgrimage Church of Wies, also known as the Wieskirche, stands near Steingaden in Bavaria, Germany. Built in the 18th century as a shrine to the Scourged Saviour, it is celebrated for its Rococo architecture, rural Alpine setting and UNESCO World Heritage status.
