The Pilgrimage Church of Wies, also known as the Wieskirche, stands near Steingaden in Bavaria, Germany. Built in the 18th century as a shrine to the Scourged Saviour, it is celebrated for its Rococo architecture, rural Alpine setting and UNESCO World Heritage status.
