The historic Wasserburg peninsula and St. Georg Church rest beneath a vivid pink evening sky, reflected softly across the calm waters of Lake Constance.
The historic Wasserburg peninsula lies on the northern shore of Lake Constance in Bavaria, Germany, and forms one of the most picturesque landmarks along this part of the Bodensee. Once completely surrounded by water, the former island became a peninsula after the separating channel was filled in during the period when the Fugger family controlled Wasserburg. Its distinctive silhouette is dominated by the parish church of St. Georg, whose tower was completed in 1403 and later rebuilt after being damaged by lightning in the 17th century. In this photograph, the peninsula appears in the soft light of evening beneath a vivid pink and purple sky. The calm surface of Lake Constance mirrors the colour of the clouds, while the dark outlines of trees, buildings and the church create a peaceful contrast along the shoreline. The combination of historic architecture, still water and reflected sunset light gives the scene a tranquil and atmospheric character.
