Amberjack - Balistes carolinensis - Getting away
Robust, tapering body, compressed laterally. Well-developed head. Twin-lobed, well-defined, caudal fin is attached by a slim peduncle. Silvery-grey with a dark line from the eyes along the body. Lives in deep-sea waters but comes close into the coast, from 10-15 meters to 70 meters. Maximum size 2 meters.
