Wide-eyed flounder - Bothus podas - Hard to see
Flatfish with eyes on the left-hand side, but set obliquely. Front head profile is almost straight, especially in mature males. Brownish with numerous different colored blotches, from white to bluish to yellow. Found on sandy-muddy and detrital bottoms, from 10 - 15 meters to 400. Maximum size 45 centimeters.
