Coscinasteria tenuispina - Spreading arms - holding on
Irregular starfish with 6 - 12 different length arms, slightly flattened and pointed. Body covered with prickly plates and spines. Color varies from whitish to reddish with purple or bluish markings. Found on rocky, algae-rich bottoms from 3-5 meters down to 100. Measures up to 20 centimeters.
