Festaval Tourist Village was formerly a holiday accommodation complex in Malta, featuring buildings arranged across the natural contours of the landscape. Following the abandonment of the complex, the buildings were left increasingly exposed to weathering and the gradual deterioration of their construction materials. Vegetation growing through cracks may also accelerate damage as roots expand and loosen already weakened materials. The abandoned buildings now display a combination of broken surfaces, exposed construction elements and overgrown surroundings.
