White grouper - Epinephelus aeneus - Watching the dwarfs
White grouper - Epinephelus aeneus, body rather elongate. Caudal fin rounded. Scales small, embedded in thick skin, over 9O in lateral line. Colour is greenish-grey; some more or less distinct darker, double oblique bands and blackish spots on body, 2 or 3 prominent oblique stripes on the side of the head. Measures up to 115 cm. Lives on sandy and muddy bottoms at 20 - 200 m.
