The church of St.Peter is a perfect example of the style present in Val di Noto in the towns rebuilt after the earthquake, that took place in 1683. The style is described as Sicilian Baroque and its valour won the attention of UNESCO, that put on World Heritage List the group of eight towns from the valley in 2002.
