To move an album, you first need to understand how the album structure works.

1. Understanding the album structure
Your main album is automatically created by the system and appears as:

albums/community/yourUserName

This is your parent (root) album. All albums and images you create are stored within this structure.

Example:
If you create albums for cities like Paris, Munich and Barcelona, they will appear as:

albums/community/yourUserName/paris
albums/community/yourUserName/munich
albums/community/yourUserName/barcelona

Each of these is a direct child of your main album.

2. Creating a structured hierarchy
As your content grows, you may want to organise it better.

For example, you create a new album called:

albums/community/yourUserName/travel

Now you want your city albums (Paris, Munich, Barcelona, etc.) to become sub-albums of this Travel album.

3. Moving an album
To move an album (e.g. Barcelona), follow these steps:

• Go to your album list
• Click Edit on the album you want to move
• On the edit page, locate the Parent Album field
• Select the new parent album (e.g. Travel)
• Click Save Album Settings

The album path will now change from:

albums/community/yourUserName/barcelona

to:

albums/community/yourUserName/travel/barcelona

4. Repeat for other albums
You need to repeat this process for each album you want to move into the new parent album.

5. Understanding hierarchy levels
After moving:

• travel becomes the first-level child of your main album
• barcelona becomes a second-level child (sub-album)

Example structure:

albums/community/yourUserName
→ travel
→ → barcelona

6. Creating deeper structures
You can create multiple levels of sub-albums.

Example:

albums/community/yourUserName/travel/spain

You can then move city albums (Barcelona, Madrid, etc.) into the Spain album using the same method.

7. Important note
All images assigned to an album will automatically move with it.

This allows you to reorganise your content without losing or reassigning images.

A well-structured album hierarchy improves navigation, user experience and content visibility.
