To create and manage albums, you must be logged in to your account.
1. Create a new album
To create a new album, click on the Album tab in the left navigation bar.
At the top of the page, you will find the following fields:
• Parent Album
• Album Title
• Album Visibility
• Create new album (button)
2. Select the parent album
The Parent Album field is pre-filled with your system-generated base album:
albums/community/yourUserName
If you have not created any albums yet, this will be your main album.
If you already have albums and want to create a sub-album, select the desired parent album from the dropdown list.
Example:
If you have an album named Birds, it will appear as:
albums/community/yourUserName/birds
If you want to create a sub-album for Sparrows, select the Birds album as parent and enter “Sparrows” as the new album title.
3. Set album visibility
Choose whether your album should be:
• Public – visible immediately
• Private – visible only after you complete and publish it
If you still need to add descriptions or metadata, it is recommended to keep the album private until it is ready.
4. Create the album
Click on Create new album to create your album.
The new album will appear in the list of your albums in the table below.
5. Edit your album
In the album list, click on Edit in the Actions column.
You can now enter:
• Album Title
• Album Caption
• Album Description
• Meta description
• Keywords
6. Apply metadata best practices
The same rules apply as for photo metadata. Make sure your content is:
• clear and descriptive
• relevant to the album content
• properly structured
For detailed guidance, see:
How to write good title blocks
7. Use the correct language blocks
It is very important to enter your title, caption, description and metadata in the correct language fields.
If your native language is not supported, always use English in the English input fields.
Properly structured albums improve navigation, visibility and the overall presentation of your work.
