Managing Notifications

Photo and Crochet keeps users informed through both the internal messaging system and email notifications, depending on the type and importance of the communication.

Types of Notifications

You may receive notifications through different channels depending on the message type.

Internal Messaging Notifications

The internal messaging system is used for regular platform communications, including:

  • site news and announcements
  • minor platform updates or feature changes
  • general system notifications
  • private user-to-user messages if enabled in your account settings

Email Notifications

Email is used for important matters that require your attention, including:

  • changes to Terms and Conditions
  • updates to the Privacy Policy
  • dispute-related communications
  • other important account or legal notifications

For this reason, please ensure that your registered email address remains valid and accessible.

Accessing the Internal Messaging System

You can access the internal messaging system by clicking the envelope icon on the right side of the status bar.

From there, you will find quick access options such as:

  • Inbox — to view received messages
  • New Message — to compose a message to another eligible user

User-to-User Messaging

During registration, you were given the option to allow private messaging from other logged-in users.

If You Enabled Private Messaging

If you chose to allow private messages:

  • other eligible logged-in users may contact you through the internal messaging system
  • you can send messages to users who also accept private messages

If You Disabled Private Messaging

If you chose not to allow private messaging:

  • other users cannot send you direct messages
  • you will still receive system and site-related messages from the Photo and Crochet administration where required

Managing Your Inbox

Your inbox allows you to manage received internal messages.

You may:

  • read received messages
  • keep important messages for future reference
  • delete messages you no longer wish to keep

Important Reminder

Some notifications, especially legal, policy, or dispute-related communications, may be considered important account communications.

Please check both your internal inbox and your registered email account regularly to ensure you do not miss important information.
