Photo and Crochet provides convenient online tools to help contributors create Model Releases and Property Releases directly from within the photo management area.

These tools simplify the release creation process by pre-filling available image and photographer information, reducing manual data entry and helping you prepare professional release documents quickly.

Accessing the Release Tools

To create a release, first open the photo edit page for the relevant image.

Below the image, you will find two available buttons:

• Create Model Release
• Create Property Release

Select the button that matches the type of release you need.

• Use Model Release when your image contains an identifiable person.
• Use Property Release when your image contains identifiable private property requiring permission.

Completing the Release Form

Once you select the appropriate release type, an online input form will open.

The form automatically pre-fills available information already stored on our system, including:

• available image information
• mandatory photographer details

You only need to review the information and complete the remaining required sections.

This includes entering:

• model or property owner details
• authorised representative details where applicable
• required consent information
• electronic signatures

Important: The model, property owner, or their authorised representative should be physically present while the form is being completed and signed.

Available PDF Options

At the bottom of the form, you will find two action buttons:

• Save and Create PDF
• Create PDF

Save and Create PDF

This option will:

• save the entered release data in encrypted form on our server
• generate a printable PDF document

The stored data serves as a reference record within your contributor account.

We strongly recommend printing the generated PDF, having it physically signed by all relevant parties, and safely keeping the original signed document for your records.

Saving release data on our servers does not replace your obligation to retain a wet ink signed copy for legal protection and dispute resolution.

Create PDF Only

This option will generate the printable PDF release document without saving any entered data on our servers.

This is useful if you prefer to manage all release documentation entirely offline.

Why Save Release Information?

Saving encrypted release reference data can be useful for contributor administration and buyer confidence.

While actual release documents are not shown publicly to customers, the system may indicate that a valid release is available for the image.

This can help reassure potential buyers that the necessary permissions exist and may positively influence purchasing decisions.

• Always verify all entered information before generating the PDF.
• Electronic entry convenience does not replace proper legal documentation.
• Keep physically signed original copies for your own records.
• Only create releases when the relevant person or property representative is present and authorised.
